L'OLMO
Eri un Piccolo olmo da nulla
t'avevo aiutato quand'eri piccino
come si fa con un bimbo quand'e' nella culla nulla
facevi ma m'eri vicino.
Quando quest'oggi t'hanno tagliato
dentro di me sopravvenne il dolore
quasi nel corpo non c'era più fiato
e questo stato è durato per ore.
Non ho potuto impedire il misfatto
tu eri di là nell'altro podere
e con il cuore quasi disfatto
sotto la sega ti ho visto cadere.
Ora nessuno avra' piu' il piacere
di ammirar la tua folta chioma
tu pel progresso dovevi morto giacere
delle tue foglie mai più avrem l'aroma.
Poi sarai fatto tutto a pezzetti
magari bruciato in qualche camino
non a scaldare dei poveretti
ma per la gioia fasulla di qualche cretino.
Addio piccolo olmo dal nulla
che avevo curato quand'eri piccino
come feci coi figli quand'erano in culla
nulla facevi ma m'eri vicino.
